"Versatility is the hallmark of the paintings of Peter Barker. His enthusiasm and sheer skill at depicting landscapes in oil and pastel are regularly augmented by seascapes, still-life's, figurative work and virtuoso studies of farm animals.  In particular, his depiction of riverine scenes in all seasons captures the timeless quality of the English landscape and the precision of his work, both large and small, makes it compelling viewing". Mike Lambert, Marine House Gallery.
